Santa Clara, CA — March 11, 2026 — Endometrics, a molecular diagnostics company developing a clinical intelligence platform for women’s health using menstrual blood, has been named the winner of the Most Promising Company Competition at the Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) in Santa Clara, California — one of the leading global gatherings focused on precision medicine and data-driven healthcare.

The annual competition highlights emerging companies developing transformative technologies in precision medicine. This year’s competition was dedicated to the late Atul Butte, M.D., Ph.D., a pioneer in translational bioinformatics and data-driven medicine and professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Twenty-four companies were selected to participate in the competition and presented their technologies during the event. Following the initial presentations, four finalists were selected to deliver extended presentations. Endometrics was ultimately chosen as the overall winner by the judging panel.

The judging panel included leading healthcare investors:

  • Alex Morgan, Khosla Ventures, Partner
  • Rowan Chapman, BEVC, Co-founder
  • Travis Zack, OpenEvidence, Chief Medical Officer
  • Gini Deshpande, Green Sands Equity, Venture Partner
  • Rohan Ganesh, Obvious Ventures, Partner
  • Debby Meredith, Define Ventures, Advisor

During the competition, Dr. Yana Aznavour, M.D., Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Endometrics, presented the company’s approach to building a clinical intelligence platform for women’s health powered by menstrual blood–based molecular diagnostics.

“For decades, diagnostics have relied on blood draws and tissue biopsies,” said Dr. Aznavour. “Yet for many gynecologic diseases, the most biologically relevant sample has been overlooked. Menstrual blood provides direct molecular access to the endometrium and new data for the next generation of non-invasive diagnostics for women’s health.”

Endometrics’ first clinical focus is endometriosis, a chronic disease affecting more than 10% of women worldwide. Despite its prevalence, diagnosis often takes eight to ten years, and the current gold standard remains laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia.

The company’s platform is based on tissue-validated gene-expression signatures derived from surgically confirmed endometrial biopsies and translated into menstrual blood, enabling non-invasive molecular testing through at-home sample collection, ambient shipping, and CLIA-compatible laboratory workflows.

Endometrics has built a proprietary clinical biobank of surgically confirmed patients and developed bioinformatics methods to identify molecular signatures associated with gynecologic diseases. These tissue-derived biomarkers are then translated into menstrual blood, preserving biological signals while enabling accessible diagnostics.

About Endometrics

Endometrics is a molecular diagnostics company developing non-invasive tests for women’s health using menstrual blood as an organ-proximal liquid biopsy. The company integrates tissue-derived biomarker discovery, bioinformatics, and scalable at-home sampling to enable molecular diagnostics for gynecologic diseases.

Endometrics emerged from the UC Berkeley SkyDeck accelerator and has received recognition from national innovation programs including the NIH RADx® Tech ACT ENDO initiative. The company is also working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts through the MassChallenge Health Equity Accelerator.
